Astrid De Wild
Founder and Director, was trained by direct disciples of Joe Pilates. She was initially attracted to Pilates as a dancer trained in the Martha Graham technique. Her background has resulted in a keen awareness of the importance that a properly supervised Pilates program provides in achieving and maintaining a strong and flexible “body in balance”. At De Wild Pilates Studio, this awareness translates into the precise application of the Pilates Method that dramatically restores ease and economy of movement and injury prevention. All instructors are highly trained in the classical Pilates techniques and all are active dancers as well.

Nicole is a dancer at heart. She began a lifelong passion for dance at the age of four. She first encountered Pilates in 1996, became a Certified Instructor and joined De Wild Pilates Studio later that year. She is currently the Assistant Director of Gustafson Dance and the Co-Director of State Street Ballet Young Dancers. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from United States International University and subsequently performed with some of the finest dance companies in California. She is a founding member and was a principal dancer with State Street Ballet and is an adjunct ballet instructor at Westmont College. She enjoys sharing her love of ballet and finds the Pilates method is a wonderful complement to dance training. Nicole loves working with her clients at De Wild Pilates, helping them to improve strength, posture, flexibility, coordination and balance.
As a contemporary dancer and yoga teacher, Jennifer fell in love with Pilates while studying dance at SUNY in Purchase, New York. In 1996, she started her teacher training at Physical Mind Institute with Cathy Murakami. As a part of that program, Jen studied with Ron Fletcher, an American Pilates Master Teacher, author and former Martha Graham dancer who studied directly under Joseph and Clara Pilates. She then continued her education with advanced apparatus training in the Fletcher Technique with Diane Diefendorfer. Jen has been with De Wild Pilates since 2010 and has a devoted following. She recently added Pilates Jumpboard classes for those who desire more cardio in their workouts.
Pilates Instructor at DeWild Pilates
Michelle Kimball’s initial Pilates certification was with Core Conditioning in Los Angeles in 2004.
In 2011, she became a certified Booty Barre Instructor, and in 2012, became nationally certified with Pilates Method Alliance (PMA). Growing up, she was a competitive ice skater and studied ballet. As an adult, she started practicing yoga which she continues today. Her background in movement, ballet, and yoga, as well as her own extensive personal experience with Pilates, has given her a deep understanding and appreciation of the many benefits of the work. She has continued her Pilates education by attending many workshops with Master Teacher Pat Guyton, Tracey Mallett (founder of Booty Barre), Erik Franklin (founder of The Franklin Method), Troy McCarty, Brett Howard, Jennifer Kries, and Diane Diefendorfer.
Michelle has worked with clients of all ages. She teaches privates as well as group classes. She loves inspiring her clients at DeWild Pilates to make positive changes in their bodies and in their Pilates practice.
She lives with her husband Brent, daughter Sadie, son Cole, Will their dog, and Hobbes the cat.
